Sustainability in local government forum

Sustainabiz has initiated a forum for local government agencies to share information on sustainability issues and prioritise actions, recognising the importance for local government to take a lead in the move towards more sustainable organisations and societies. Forums have been held in October 2008 and March 2009 with representatives from 10 councils within the Waikato and Bay of Plenty attending.

It is planned to hold the forum on a quarterly basis to continue driving sustainable business practices within the local government sector.
