On Friday, 25 June, Sustainabiz/Environment Waikato hosted a forum for the Waikato construction industry with the purpose of collaboratively moving the industry towards zero waste and sustainability.

Open Wānanga develop vision for sustainability

Sustainabiz has teamed up with Xtreme Waste to help the Open Wānanga in Te Awamutu develop a vision for becoming a more sustainable operation. Around 15 staff from the Wānanga have been involved in two workshops using an approach based on the Natural Step framework (see story above) while also integrating the Māori perspective of the natural world.
